Opue One

A classic from the pen of Sy Oliver, this is the vocal version that Anita 0'Day recorded with Gene Krupa, & is a mix of powerhouse swing that you would expect from Krupa's band, & a laid back, slightly humerous vocal chorus from 0'Day. It features a blasting Trumpet solo near the end, & a wonderfully conceived modulation into the vocal chorus. We have written out the Trumpet solo, & the little Piano fill-in solo in the intro too. The Trumpet solo screams up to a high E, & 1st & 2nd Trombones have to pick a top D out of the air at one point.  There are no sax doubles.
